The fragrance is based around pink ginger — a spicy ingredient which is used in Japanese cuisine — and was created by Givaudan’s Aurélien Guichard, who was also behind Want.
The fragrance is described as “an oriental floral with an unusually fresh and vibrant personality”Italian fashion brand DSquared2 are launching a new companion to last year’s Want fragrance: Want Pink Ginger.
Other notes include mangosteen, pink pepper, lemon and tangerine in the top; Damask rose, heliotrope and neroli in the heart; and a dry-down of vanilla, violet and amber.
The advertising campaign features a portrait of Rianne Ten Haken, shot by Inez and Vinoodh. The promo features both Want and Want Pink Ginger to show “two different olfactive elements for the same woman.”
The product is available as Eau de Parfum in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml sizes.
